![]() No, the only workaround I've found is using some unknown expensive software from another company to import the pics in a new capture one catalog. When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?Īre you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One? Apparently Avalanche does that too, but I've found yet another software called Preset Converter from Picture Instruments. It would be great to have a tool like that to import my lightroom catalog, and I wish it was integrated inside Capture one itself.Īlso it would be great to be able to import lightroom presets and convert them into capture one ones. Convert your Lightroom Presets easily into Capture One styles with just a few clicks. La marche à suivre est simple : dans un premier temps, il suffit d’indiquer à Preset Converter le dossier contenant les presets Lightroom. Like Lightroom, Capture One edits are non-destructive and you export edited images. ![]() As far as the trial goes it seems to import many more settings (if forgoes perhaps the perspective adjustment, though, at least that's what I think from the only 100 images the trial version imports in the capture one catalog file it creates). The difference between presets and styles in Capture One is that presets contain saved settings for one tool only, whereas a style is a look comprising saved settings of many tools. I'd gladly use it, but it's quite expensive and I'm not very trustful of an unknown software. I've found a software which is apparently doing exactly this kind of catalog conversion, it's called Avalanche for Capture One and trying it it seems to give a much more thorough job at importing lightroom settings. ![]() This is probably the biggest blocker from moving to Capture One. As far as HDR settings, structure, haze removal and perspective correction go they're not really considered. If you chose to create stylepacks you can change this. After opening the files they are converted automatically and then placed into the selected output folder. Then you can select one or several Lightroom presets in the formats. I'm glad the lightroom catalog import function has been added but it still imports only very few settings (as far as i've noticed it just imports exposure compensation, contrast, white balance and crop). Clicking on this button opens the Open File dialog. These are more analogous to Presets in Lightroom or Looks in Luminar. A Style in Capture One is a set of pre-made alterations that you can apply to a single image or a collection of photos with a single click. I have a lightroom catalog containing around 42000 images, it's my whole life and it contains all the edits I've ever done to my photos. Unlike in Lightroom, Presets in Capture One are generally saved single-tool adjustments like a user-created sharpening preset.
